Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 12 August 2026
Welcome to KidHub. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of kidhub.co.uk and app.kidhub.co.uk (together, the "Service"), operated by KidHub, United Kingdom (company registration in progress) ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What KidHub is
KidHub is a productivity tool that helps parents and guardians keep track of their children's events, notes, clubs, and activities in one place. It is an organisational tool only — it does not provide childcare, medical, educational, or professional advice of any kind, and should not be relied on as such.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over and a parent, guardian, or otherwise have lawful responsibility for the children whose information you enter, to create an account. KidHub is not intended for direct use by children.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- Notify us immediately at kidhubteam@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
4. Your content
Any data you enter into KidHub — calendar events, notes, club details, your child's name, etc. ("Your Content") remains yours. We don't claim ownership over it.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use Your Content for advertising, and we do not sell it.
You're responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the information you enter, and for having the right to enter data relating to your child.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service (e.g. attempting to overload our servers)
- Upload malicious code or content
- Use the Service to store or share information about a child other than your own, without appropriate authority to do so
6. Demo mode
You can try KidHub in demo mode without creating an account. In this mode, data is stored only in your browser (local storage) and is never sent to us. We have no access to, and no responsibility for, data stored in demo mode — clearing your browser data will delete it permanently.
7. Availability & changes to the Service
KidHub is currently in active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and there may be periods of downtime as we build and improve the Service. We'll do our best to keep the Service running smoothly but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
8. Pricing
KidHub is currently offered free of charge, during our early access phase. If we introduce paid plans in future, we'll give you reasonable notice before any charges apply to your account, and you'll be able to choose whether to continue.
9. Intellectual property
The KidHub name, logo, design, and underlying software are our property (or used under licence) and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our permission. This doesn't apply to Your Content, which remains yours as set out in section 4.
10. Third-party services
KidHub relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Render, and Cloudflare) to operate. We're not responsible for outages or issues caused by these providers, though we'll work to minimise any impact on you.
11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
- KidHub is an organisational tool only. We are not responsible for missed events, appointments, or activities — you remain responsible for your own scheduling and for verifying important dates independently.
- Where KidHub offers reminders or notifications (including any future notification features), these are provided on a best-effort basis only. We do not guarantee that notifications will be delivered, delivered on time, or delivered at all — this can depend on factors outside our control, such as your device settings, network connectivity, or third-party notification services. We are not liable for any missed event, appointment, or activity resulting from a notification not being received.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we'll give reasonable notice where possible).
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as KidHub evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll aim to notify registered users directly.
